Sorry to hear of Avalon's passing. We have lost a long time neighbor and loyal customer from our years in the Valleyfield community. The Sturge family has accomplished so much and Avalon's wonderful example as a husband, father ,grandfather and great-grandfather enriched all your lives. He will be missed but remain a true gentleman you can forever be proud to recall.

We always talk of Dad's description of how the houses were floated across the "arm" so efficiently and how the longliners would be going out to the fishing grounds about the time he and Mom were going to bed after a long day in the shop.

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Avalon's passing. We have lost a great uncle and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

We have such great memories of him visiting Grandmother and Grandfather's house. He always had lots of stories to tell. Maybe not all true, but we enjoyed them anyway.

I remember him loving the game of cards and slamming them on the table.

He is at rest with all of his family who have gone before him.

I will keep him in my prayers.

Known by many and will be deeply missed so much. There are no words that can describe what or how we feel at this time.
