To Minnie and all the family: Sorry to hear of Avalon's passing. We have lost a long time neighbor and loyal customer from our years in the Valleyfield community. The Sturge family has accomplished so much and Avalon's wonderful example as a husband, father ,grandfather and great-grandfather enriched all your lives. He will be missed but remain a true gentleman you can forever be proud to recall. We always talk of Dad's description of how the houses were floated across the "arm" so efficiently and how the longliners would be going out to the fishing grounds about the time he and Mom were going to bed after a long day in the shop.
