Gary was born on November 17, 1956. He was raised by two loving parents Joseph & Minnie Parsons. He has four brothers and three sisters. Much of Gary’s life was spent as a seaman…he loved his work and was privileged to have sailed many seas and rest in many ports. He was a very quiet man who enjoyed the company of his small but dedicated group of friends. Sadly he was inflicted with cancer at the age of 53. Gary was very courageous in his fight, wanting to live out his final days at home. His strength and determination are an inspiration to all who knew him. He now joins those gone before him and is free from suffering and pain. May you rest in peace until we meet again.
I will soon take my final voyage,
The lord will call to me,
Come home my Salty Seaman
And sail the heavenly sea.
