The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wilfred Hoyles can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My Dad

There are many things a person can say about thier father like he's loving, he's kind, he's generous, and all of those things are true for my dad. Except one thing that stands out the most when thinking of my dad was the amount of times he moved!!! I cant even count how many places he lived. However no matter where it was he was restless. I know in my heart it was because he wasn't back ome! Yes I said ome! There were no H's in his speech! I'm sure all the family and fellow Newfies understand this. When he got a job at Hallman Appartments they asked him to say the name of the place first so they knew people calling in didnt think the they were calling the Allman Appartments!!!! Us Ontarians are easily confused by "Newfie Talk"!!!  They were put at ease when he managed to get the H in there and promised that Michelle would be the one on the phone!

Anyway the point is he always knew he belonged back East. Home as all born there Newfies would say! Or Ome! Sheila was the one to get him back there and I believe that is why he loved her. It all came full circle when they were together.  It was meant to be for them.

My dad was a man forever in-love. He always was the hero in his relationships. It made him feel good to be the one who saved the day. This time though it was Sheila who did the saving. You attract the people in life that love like you and in his case it was with all of heart and thats what Sheila did.

There are times that we didn't see eye to eye, but no matter what he loved us. My sister Erin would agree. I am 35 years old I still say Daddy. Daddy's love and protect, come out of wood work at a moments notice. Things may have been hard for him a time or two or three or four but my sister and I were always a concern. He was always one of the first to comment on a photo or posting we made on Facebook. This was so we knew that he was keeping tabs on us. Our children have achieved a great many things in thier short little lives and he knew them all. Even downloading apps on his phone to keep up.

We are now missing a man who loved us all unconditionally no matter what. Having girls is hard and girls as strong willed as he was must have been frustrating to say the least. But he did it the best way he knew how and as hard as he could. I will miss this man in my life! There isn't a replacement! There isnt a twin somewhere! A truely unique man is gone but will never be forgotten! We are in a hurry to say goodbye in place that he loved more than even he knew. We are happy he's happy. In death you achieve infinate wisdom and now he really does know it all!!

With all of my heart I say goodbye, I love you, and see you again!
