It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing. Sophie passed away at her residence in Pools Island, on May 26th 2011, at the age of 72. Predeceased by her parents Walter & Alfreda Pope, brother William G. Pope, Sisters Caroline Hoyles, Annie E. Hoyles and Marguerite Sheppard. Left with fond and loving memories is her husband Leo. Sophie and Leo raised two sons Eugene (Angela), Jeffery, and one daughter Joyce (George Jr.)Starkes . Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren Danielle (Stephen) Bungay, Christa (Matthew) Nicholl, great-granddaughters Abigail Bungay & Georgia Nicholl. Sophie will also be missed by a large circle of family and friends. Rev J. Nicholle conducted the funeral service from Sincerely Yours Funeral Home on May 30, 2011. Interment was at St.James Anglican Cemetery .
