Rowena Howell (nee Spurrell) passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, April 13th, 2014 at Brookfield Health Centre; she was 79 years of age. Rowena is predeceased by her parents Frank & Bertha Spurrell and grandson Trevor Ashford. Left to cherish her memory are: loving husband Esau Howell; five children: Frank (Edith), Perry (Velma), Christine (Earl) Spurrell, Joan Howell, and Heather (John) Collins; sister Eleanor Sainsbury, sister- in- law Shirley Jackman, brother-in-law Samuel Howell; nine grandchildren: Jackie, Justin, Sheldon, April, Samantha, Amanda, Lenora, Katie, Brittney; six precious great grandchildren: Keesha, Ireland, Ainsley, Ryler, Lane and Brooklynn; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitations were held at Sincerely Yours Funeral Home on April 14 & 15 & 16, 2014. Rev. Brian Hannon officiated the Funeral service at the Memorial United Church on Wednesday April 16th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. followed by Interment at the United Cemetery in Valleyfield.
