We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Josie’s passing. We would love to be there with you at this time as you celebrate the wonderful life of such a Godly women. We will always cherish the precious memories we have of Aunt Josie. We will forever count it a great privilege to have been the last Corps Officers of the Wesleyville Corps to have both Lester and Josie Kean as soldiers and a great source of support and prayer warriors for their Corps Officers. We are not sure what their first conversation in heaven might have been but we imagine it might have started by Uncle Lester saying “Mother maid…” Although we are not able to be there please know that the Kean family is in our thoughts and prayers and will continue to be in the days ahead. We rejoice with you as a faithful soldier of Jesus Christ and The Salvation Army has received her promotion to glory. Both of us have such wonderful memories of both Mr. & Mrs. Kean's love & support of each other, their family & their church. Perhaps not so quiet for Lester, as I remember one evening of fellowship at their home in Badgers Quay & Lester's continuous talking about current & past events when suddenly all around the lunch table there was complete quiet when Mrs. Kean looking over her shoulder at the clock on the wall said to me "9:13 Carl boy & there is a lull in the conversation" with which Lester got his second wind & was never quiet again for the rest of our visit.
