Obituary for John "Jack" Winter
JOHN (JACK) WINTER
November 1, 1946 – December 24, 2018
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our love one on December 24, 2018 at the age of 72. Jack is survived by his devoted and loving wife Joan (Hunt) of 44 precious years. Predeceased in death by parents Albert & Nita (Spurrell) Winter, sisters Sadie & Laura, brothers Job & Wilson. Left with loving memories are his brothers Warrick (Helen), Claude (Myrtle), Clayton (Winifred), Harvey (Eva), William (Stella), Job (Penny); sisters Margaret (Absalom), Bernice (Arthur), sister-in-law Evelyn Winter, a large extended family and circle of friends. He was a father figure to so many young people who affectionately called him “Uncle Jack”. Also an amazing friend who was always willing to share the fruits of his labor. The outdoors made Jack a happy man. He loved nothing better in life than hunting, fishing, berry picking, growing vegetables and socializing with his buddies. Rest in peace Jack, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
