The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gordon Sturge can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Remembering A Special Time

I have many fond memories of Gord from years ago when I worked at Brookfield Hospital & Bonnews Lodge & he would come there on Sunday mornings with the League Of Mercy & we would join them for  fellowship . Also he would come to Bonnews during the week  days to fellowship with the residents & they would be so proud !..My fondest memory is 20 + years ago my daughter Karen & I was visiting Bonnews one Sunday afternoon, Gord was leading the singing & he asked if anyone had a favourite hymn or chorus they would like to sing & before I knew it Karen stood up & said Can You Sing Will Your Anchor Hold , she was only 5 years old , Gord said now listen to that a little girl so brave to stand in front of a crowd & ask me to sing for her , he was so proud of her ! She still talks about that now ... Memories Last Forever !  Take Care Ann & Family , he will be surely missed !
